USA, 1939: The Golden Age of the Western film started with "Stagecoach" by John Ford. The film made John Wayne a star. I like the part when Ringo Kid (John Wayne) says to Dr. Boone (Thomas Mitchell):
 
 - "You did a good job, Doc, even if you were drunk." 
 - "Thank you, son. Professional compliments are always pleasing."
