USA, 1938: John Dewey, philosopher and educational reformer, examines in his work "Experience & Education" some educational problems, such as a discussion between how much individual freedom vs. discipline to use in pedagogy. As for me, a discipline is an easy task in the army, but in the school, a teacher must be able to force a submission to rules and authority, but at the same time, he (she) must be able to force an individual, creative freedom of pupils. I'm afraid the teacher in my drawing is not encouraging the poor pupil to be creative and free.
