London, 1936: Dylan Thomas published "25 Poems". My favourite verses are from the short poem "Was There a Time":

"What's never known is safest in this life.
Under the skysigns they who have no arms
Have cleanest hands, and, as the heartless ghost
Alone's unhurt, so the blind man sees best."

As for me, Dylan Thomas has made the most poetical remake of the New Testament’s sentence: "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:3-11).
