Barcelona, 1928: Writer Lluís Montanyà, art critic Sebastià Gasch, and painter Salvador Dalí published "El Manifest Groc" known also as "El Manifiesto antiartístico catalán" or "Manifiesto Amarillo" (the Manifesto Groc, the Anti-artistic Catalan Manifesto or the Yellow Manifesto, because it was printed on yellow paper). The manifesto attacked conventionalism in official Catalonian culture and opened the door for the avant-garde European art; from futurism to dada to surrealism.
