Paris, 1920: A Dada spectacle in the famous "Salle Gaveau". The atmosphere in the concert hall was full of the electricity, because the audience already knew the eccentric Dada performances. Everybody brought some eggs or tomatoes, to react properly on provocations from the stage. Breton, Soupault, Ribemont- Dessaignes, Dermée, Eluard, Arnauld, Dr Serner, Picabia , Tzara and others, made an unforgettable afternoon. "Ribemont-Dessaignes kept shouting: "It is raining on a skull." Aragon miaowed. P. Soupault played hide-and-seek with Tzara, while Benjamin Péret and Charchoune shook hands every second." (Robert Motherwell: "The Dada Painters and Poets; An Anthology"). Of course, the stage was soon splattered with eggs and tomatoes thrown by the audience.
