New York, 1917: The most famous Dadaist artwork and an icon in the history of modern art, Marcel Duchamp’s "Fountain" (the urinal), signed with the pseudonym "R. Mutt", was rejected by the New York Independents Salon. Anyway, Duchamp will start a new Dada magazine "The Blind Man", with the concept that invited artists can put in the magazine whatever they want. In the second and the last issue of "The Blind Man", the "Fountain" was reproduced, photographed by Alfred Stieglitz. On the cover was Duchamp’s "Chocolate Grinder". Both of them, the "Grinder" and the "Fountain", are in the middle of my vision of New York Dada in 1917. Marcel Duchamp will continue to work on ephemeral journals: on the 1st of July his journal "Rongwrong" was published; the first and the last issue.
