Italian front, 1915: "Destruction of Syntax" and "Imagination without Strings and Words in Freedom", published by Marinetti in the 1913, made a renovation of language and featured the concept of the New Typography (My favourite rule in this "new language" is: The use of verbs only in the infinitive!). "Rivoluzione tipografica" (typografical revolution) offered a freedom in use of different fonts and colours; instead of words arranged in a linear succession, they could be composed figuratively in order to form a picture. Having on my mind Marinetti’s phrase "War, the world’s only hygiene", I have made my version of new typography in the wartime.
