Munich, 1913: The play "Woyzeck", written long time ago, in the 1836, by Georg Büchner, was finally staged. The play was incomplete because of death of young author. He was 23. After the first performance in Munich, the audience couldn’t believe that the author is not a new, avant-garde expressionist. The fame and influence of "Woyzeck" started to grow. Except of countless theatre productions all over the world, this play was an inspiration for Alban Berg’s opera "Wozzek", 1925, Werner Herzog’s film "Woyzeck", 1979, János Szász’s film "Woyzeck", 1994, Robert Wilson and Tom Waits’ musical "Woyzeck", 2000, etc.).
