Vienna, 1900: Sigmund Freud’s first major work "The Interpretation of Dreams" was published. I like the way how he described dreams as the "royal road" to the unconscious. The Motto of Freud’s work "Flectere si nequeo superos Acheronta movebo" is from  Virgil’s Aeneid and means "If I cannot move heaven, I will stir up the underworld."
